Such spoop much wow.
Are we all excited for HALLOWEEN! I know I am!
Why? Because it's time... FOR ANOTHER WRITING COMPETITION!
(Cue the Applause)
Yes, it is time for another Writing Competition, and you've probably guessed it, the theme is about....!
Saint Patrick's Day.
It's Halloween themed!
You can write about ANYTHING you want relating to Halloween! If you want to write about the holiday itself and its origins, that's fine. But you could also write so much more!
Your real life Halloween Experience, whether tricking or treating!
A Horror story about an escaped psycho murderer within Mystic Empire!
Your inner furry and your costume you made!
Now, before we get into prizes, there are, of course, a few rules.
Rule 1: No excessive swearing.
You could say "Damnit, I've got no time left" because that's used for emphasis.
You COULDN'T say "F*F*F*F*F*F*F*F*F*F*F*F*F*F*F*F*F*F*F*" because not only is that bad writing, us Librarians will just burn it. Because we can.
Rule 2: All rules in /rules will apply. So no disrespecting others, no homophobia/racist jokes, no AFK machines (if at all possible), etc. Also, if you decide to add more mature elements in your story (such as blood), please be very careful with that. Tiny children may read these!
Rule 3: Please sign your book! If you do not sign your book, we will not be able to tell who wrote that book! And thus it will be burned within a Jack-O-Lantern! Also, just write somewhere in the book that it is for the Writing Competition. To enter a book, simply grab a book from the Book-Giving Bookshelf in the Writing Materials area, then when you're done, simply put the book in the chest!
Rule 4: If for any reason, you decide you want to make any detail changes or rewrite your book entirely, you may only do so ONCE by asking a Librarian. This gives you extra incentive to make sure that your book is neatly written and decently planned out!
Rule 4B: A recent addition to Rule 4, though not exactly a RULE, per se. Basically, the Librarians have seen slightly sloppier writing recently. More specifically, lack of care for grammar and spelling. If you misspell one or two words, that's perfectly fine. If you misspell twenty, then no. So, we will be taking off "points" for an egregious amount of spelling/grammar mistakes.
TLDR: If you have too many spelling/grammar mistakes, even if it's a really good story, it'll come second place to another book that's ALMOST as good, but has better spelling/grammar.
Rule 5: The Most Important Rule, Have FUN!
Failure to comply to these rules, ESPECIALLY Rule #5, will not only disqualify you from the competition, but also potentially bean, demote, report, and extreme cases, demonetize you. In addition, due to the nature of October, you may receive a visit from either A) Herobrine, B) Slenderman, or C) a vending machine that doesn't have food in it.
Now, to the fun part: The PRIZES!
For our First Place prize, we have a glorious One Month FREE Mystic Sponsorship rank! That's right, you can win a great rank from the server for ABSOLUTELY ZERO DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS, all because you wrote a book! Brag to your friends about that!
